This summer has been a busy one, much of it spent away from my home in Denver.  I've been to Las Vegas, Seattle (twice), Sonora, and Tucson.

I was in Las Vegas for just a couple of days and for a business meeting.  It was my first time there and was an interesting city.  I'm not much for gambling, so it's place where I would likely get bored in after a short few days.

My two Seattle trips were also business related, but I was there for a total of six weeks.  Seattle is a great city, though.  The temperatures were mild, so it was nice to get away from the dry heat in Denver.  I was also staying at some corporate apartments just a few blocks from Puget Sound.  On Independence Day, I watched from the roof top as the fireworks barge stopped right in front of me.  What a great view of the show!

Once I was back from Seattle, I took off to Sonora, CASonora is about a two-and-a-half hour drive south-east of Sacramento.  It's a little mountain town tucked away.  I was there to see my brother perform in “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”.  He was playing Levi and did a spectacular job.  I had a ton of fun while out there with him and his friends.

What can I say about Tucson?  It was hot.  I was there for a wedding . . . an outdoor wedding . . . and was eaten alive by mosquitoes.  The sunsets there were gorgeous, but the heat was hard to stand.  If I ever go back, I hope it will be in the dead of winter.
